Take aim hone your shooting skills at Buffalo Plains District’s first ever Shooting Sports Weekend at the Boy Scout Park in Fort Peck. This event gives Venturers the time, opportunity and access to try and meet all the requirements they wish to pursue!
With help and encouragement from all, we will work toward earning the Venturing Shooting Sports Outstanding Achievement Award. Air pistol, air rifle, archery, muzzleloading rifle, shotgun, pistol, and small-bore rifle will be offered.
Venturers will have the opportunity to complete the requirements for each discipline they choose – and those who wish to try for five of the seven disciplines can earn the award.
In addition, those that are interested (and the weather cooperates) can have the opportunity for a Missouri River float trip! Swim tests will not be done at camp and must be completed prior to attending and attested to by your leader for those interested in canoeing.
