For those troops and crews who want to kick back and relax, choose the all-inclusive schedule in which meals, merit badges and evening programs are planned and run by staff. The traditional summer camp schedule gives scouts the opportunity to move forward in rank with our Trail to Eagle program and earn merit badges like Climbing, First aid, Archery, Environmental Science and Wilderness Survival. Scouts can cool off and go for a swim in our spring-fed lake or take out canoes and rowboats. Older scouts can experience our high ropes course with Project COPE. Or try out our new ATV adventure program. Everyone will get and opportunity for a “Haunted Overnight” at our very own Ghost Town. Come hear the history and stories that only the hills can tell around Kendall – our turn-of-the-century mining town.

Provisional Troop Program
Every Scout deserves the chance to make their own memories and with that in mind, the Montana Council is happy to announce the creation of a provisional Troop program at K-M Scout Ranch. This program is designed to benefit youth in your units that want to go to camp but cannot find adult leadership to take them, youth who cannot attend camp the week that their troop is going, or youth who want to work on advancement for a second week. Each week during summer camp, we will provide experienced scout leaders to be acting Scoutmasters for your Scouts stay at camp. These leaders will make sure that your Scouts are attending their classes and completing their requirements. The acting Scoutmasters will also keep order in the camp sites as well as ensuring everyone is safe. We want your Scouts to attend camp, please take advantage of this program and don’t let anyone miss out on a life changing experience.
If you are interested in serving as a provisional Scout leader for a week at camp, we do have some openings. Volunteers for this program will have the opportunity to attend camp for one week free of charge, but more importantly they will be part of making a difference in the life of a Scout. Please contact the Council Service Center at 406-761-6000 or Shon Ostler at 406-241-6014 to get more information about this program.
Health & Medical Form
All campers are required to submit a completed health & medical form.
*Investment in Character and Leadership Discount
An in-council troop that meets their Investment in Character and Leadership goal by April 1, will receive a $10 discount per boy for summer camp or NYLT fees. It is just our way of saying “Thank you” for supporting the Montana Council with your financial contributions. If you have already paid your fees, your discount will be refunded to you.
Cancellations & Refunds
Any unit or individual Scout canceling prior to June 1 may be able to receive a refund of fees less the $200 deposit and $75 camp readiness fee for each Scout and/or Adult cancellation.
After June 1, no refunds will be issued until after the end of the camping season. Refunds will be determined by the Camp Director. Valid reasons include death, illness or military orders such as TDA or PCS. Scouts and adults will receive one half of fees charged and/or paid for each camp.
All fees must be paid on time in order to hold your campsite, the unit may lose its place if fees are not on time.
