Scout Executive Corner

Dear Scouting Friends,

Wow! Less than two weeks before the ball drops, and 2016 comes to a close.

For Montana Council it has been a stand-out year in so many ways. Many of you have gone above and beyond the call of duty – I am humbled and thankful for your dedication and all of your good works on behalf of our Scouts!

The holiday season is always a busy time. It can also be non-stop activity – hectic and exhausting too.

My prayer this holiday season is that you will find time for the things that are really important – faith, family and friends. Find some quiet moments to listen for the still, small voice, and grow closer to God. Take quality time to really connect with your family and let them know how much you love them. Think of your friends and neighbors and celebrate the happiness and support they provide in your life. Sometime the hardest thing to do is to slow down and realize how much we have been given. Do the hard thing – slow down!

May God richly bless you this holiday season.

Yours in Scouting,

Gordon Rubard
Scout Executive/CEO
